Can you find any recent phone with a smaller screen?
Edit: I meant smaller phones rather than smaller screen, see the impact of bezels below
Maybe wait a bit to see how it evolves
Quite enthusiast for this device, nice to see a larger battery than Samsung and Pixels
Oh, definitely
Nice specs, but expensive
There are currently 3 phones around 145 mm (4a was 144). Those are Ulefones, not sure you want those https://m.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMin=2024&nHeightMax=145&sFormFactors=1&idOS=2
Also, 152mm is for the Xiaomi 15, we’re still not sure about the OnePlus
Thank you. Additional article with even another look: https://www.notebookcheck.net/OnePlus-13T-Leaker-highlights-more-details-of-upcoming-compact-flagship-phone.984750.0.html
Personally I don’t really care about the look, just having a compact flagship that is not Samsung or Pixel seems refreshing
I’m eyeing a S23 or S23+. The phone is relatively compact and the CPU is powerful.
I’ll see if it can be unlocked. That would be the only reason I would consider a Pixel at this point.
Saw it posted in another thread, probably interesting as its own post
Sounds good! Feel free to let us know how it goes after you got it, it’s always interesting!
The Motorola Edge 50 Neo seems indeed nice. Performance wise, you might indeed not get that much more (https://www.topcpu.net/en/soc-c/qualcomm-snapdragon-855-vs-mediatek-dimensity-7300), because Motorola cheaped out a bit on the CPU.
I have a Motorola Edge 30 Fusion, the CPU is quite faster, in this case you would really see a gap: https://www.topcpu.net/en/soc-c/qualcomm-snapdragon-855-vs-qualcomm-snapdragon-888
Looks nice indeed
Still happy with my Motorola Edge 30 Fusion. The Edge 50 Neo looks nice, but the CPU seems to be a downgrade: https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=13224&idPhone2=11851
You probably have a point. Smaller phones owners usually have a computer to watch their content and are happy with the smaller screen, potentially making them more privacy centric users.
It’s not. The 1" sensor really makes a difference. The video explains in details.
The issue with the iPhone 13 Mini is that it’s discontinued, and due to the limited number of existing devices, prices tend to be quite high for a device released in September 2021.
Looking forward the next SE in 2025, my SO has to change her phone, hopefully the SE will be a cheaper option.
The quotes around the ‘Mini’ are well deserved with a 6.3" screen
The Pixel 8a and the Xiaomi 15 both are 152 mm high, the Xiaomi has 1 6.36 inch screen, the Pixel 6.1 inch screen

Screen size does not account for bezels.
