The cruelty did not end with the trigger pull. Jeri Rees is the victim’s aunt. She recounts a scene of unnecessary brutality. She says agents did not rush to save the young trans man bleeding out on their doorstep. Instead they dragged him by the hood of his jacket. The collar choked him as he gasped for air. K told his family that while he lay there terrified and unable to see agents pressed his face into the pavement and into his own blood. He remembers begging for an ambulance. He remembers the response even more clearly. “You’re going to lose your eye” an agent sneered. It was not a medical assessment. It was a taunt.
I wish videos like this changed more Republican minds. They don’t mind the violence and chaos this ICE bullshit is causing, and in fact they may prefer it.
It’s happening to the ‘right people’
Right. You’d think some would have some humanity after seeing horrifying videos, but I don’t think that’s happening very much. It’s just victim blaming all the way.
They’re too stupid to realize they’re gonna be the next ones up against the wall
They literally can’t comprehend that they could be wrong.
This is what they voted for, why would they be unhappy about it?
Simply because humans are supposed to react viscerally to awful violence, even if they thought they wanted it. Would be the normal way to react.
This is the police, they serve the government red or blue alike
