Idk if proton allows you to download config files on a free account but if they do then you could use those to manually split tunnel your local internet
Edit: if they don’t then the “most secure” (and cheapest) option is to pay for a VPN that allows Lan connections
I don’t plan to access it anywhere but home
Okay so what’s all this faffing about for? Just don’t open it up to the internet and access it with your servers local ip address on your home network
You lose a bit of functionality but you can use it for free
Xtra is usually the one I see recommended
Ten feels recent, but yeah I remember that being pretty common in the mid to late 00’s
Honestly thank you. Been using homarr for a while and had no idea that had a completely new version
I set mine up with duckdns and caddy. In duckdns set the ip address to your machines local address. If memory serves, there’s a section in the vaultwarden wiki about using caddy with duckdns
I did reinstall my os (and hop over to arch while I was at it) because I had a bug with Forza that made it crash on login.
It didn’t help (I think it was a bug with the save file) but at least I can say I installed arch the hard way
All these companies do is make it easier to use wireguard, if you’re so afraid of them just use wireguard yourself, you’ll get the same effect
One thing that I haven’t seen anyone mention yet, in this post or the last one, how to you plan on aquiring videos for your server? If you plan on torrenting, you just have to pay for a vpn, Proton doesn’t allow you to make p2p connections like that on a free account
