I’m an obnoxious asshat for preferring Heliboard, which works fine and doesn’t have a problematic dev: Totally reasonable take.

Super easy to set up though

Their TOS can get fucked and it’s certainly not law: They’re free to deny service or ban users if they like, but I’m sure that’d go over like a lead balloon.

Ad blocking isn’t even a legal grey area, it’s legal (as it should be, ads are a major attack vector for malware and scams).

How the fuck are open source apps a “legally grey area”!?

I have used both keyboards, and like Heliboard better. Not sure where you’re getting the idea that I didn’t use it. I haven’t used the new FUTO swipe library but I don’t really care to try it because the Heliboard swiping already works perfectly for me. Downvote away though! I’ll keep right on not using FUTO.

Heliboard is better than FUTO IMO. Haven’t tried the new library, but I have no interest in going back to FUTO.
