The only practical reliable solution last I checked to syncing on iOS is to go with their paid service or use iCloud and set up iCloud on the desktops you want to sync with. You can jump through hoops with GitHub sync and a paid GitHub client on iOS that makes syncing fairly easy but fundamentally iOS does not really allow background syncing for anything but iCloud. There was also a selfhosted syncing plugin I tried out before that may have gotten better but I just found it too unreliable. Worth checking out perhaps.
You have and use Silverbullet. Why not use templates and Silverbullet? It’s basically made for exactly that use case.
This has big “lol tell me your mother’s maiden name and your first pet and I’ll tel you what Harry Potter house you belong to!” Energy.
Appreciate it! I’ll have to give it a check!
Sorry could you do a comparison to Audiobookshelf? It also has very reputable self hosting podcasting catching features
They can’t request it if you don’t build it. That’s the point. We’ve never needed this security theater before. You don’t need a video camera pointed out towards the public 24/7. Don’t build it and they won’t come.
Don’t. They consumer surveillanceware cops will try to access if they get the chance.
Assuming you’re talking about the OPDS server built in to komga, it worked great for me with Panels… until it didn’t. When my library got large enough, say 500gb or so, OPDS didn’t seem to be able to work as well as just pulling up the browser.
Jellyfin + Finamp or just multiple navidrome instances would be my go to.

That seems like a bizarrely intentional obtuse choice
Can not really use on iOS unfortunately. iOS is awful about allowing other apps to sync in the background.
So on iOS it’s a matter of clicking the share button on Safari and selecting “add to homepage”. I think it’s similar on Android but I can’t confirm.
It rules
I’ve fallen deep down the Silverbullet rabbit hole. Self hosted markdown editor but with built in dataview style querying (if you used Obsidian that will be familiar), accessible cross platform and with a progressive web app, and basically endlessly extendable with a scripting language. Really really enjoying it and it’s made me finally move from Obsidian, which I used to evangelize (and pay for the premium sync features). Definitely check it out. Silverbullet.md
