At least some of the weaker twitch ad blocker does tell you it is skipping ads and you get an estimated time it will be back up again.

I know how this app works, I have used NewPipe for years already, this is a pretty recent problem.

Unfortunately these alternatives suffers from YouTube keep breaking logins then block your IP if you are not signed in after like 3 videos.

I doubt Google actually reviews each app submitted line by line of code. So a malicious developer can theoretically sneak it in one popular app via play store updates.

Good thing the point of 2FA is the 2 factor part so this only compromises one of the two, without some very coordinated attack it’s still quite hard to gain access to your accounts.
