Several things:
- The original admin has disappeared.
- The co-admin lost access to the server by misplacing the SSH key.
- Since nothing was updated, everything broke one after the other (first pict-rs, then lemmy-ui)
- After a few discussions, it was decided to set up a new server under feddit.org with the help of the austrian fediverse.foundation
- Since nobody took care of the DNS entries, they expired and feddit.de is history.
I tried a few other clients as well and settled on Voyager in the end. The experience is great, it’s being actively developed and the dev is active in !voyagerapp@lemmy.world. Can recommend!
